Cyclodextrins enable indirect ultrasensitive Raman detection of polychlorinated biphenyls captured by plasmonic bubbles

Capture, detection and removal of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) from water, air soil are among the hot topics research in environmental science. Here we report first example indirect ultrasensitive polychlorinated biphenyls obtained by analysing Raman signals silver-cyclodextrin supracrystals resulting drying-induced aggregation plasmonic alginate bubbles. Principal component analysis allowed to extend limit level 1 ng/L, which is two orders magnitude lower than that requested current legislation.
